The M3U format in short

An M3U playlist is a plain text file listing streams: channels, radios, sometimes movies or series. DringTV supports M3U and M3U8 playlists by URL — the list is re-downloaded from its source so it stays up to date.

Add the playlist

  1. Open DringTV — no account is needed to get started.
  2. Go to Settings → Playlists → Add a playlist, then choose "M3U".
  3. Paste the full URL of your playlist (it starts with http:// or https:// and often ends in .m3u or .m3u8).
  4. Confirm and let the sync finish.

The TV guide (EPG)

If your playlist declares its programme guide in the header (the url-tvg attribute, the standard convention), DringTV detects and downloads it automatically: nothing to configure. The guide then shows up in the programme grid and in the player info banner.

The TV guide refreshes automatically in the background; you can also force a refresh from the Live TV screen.

DringTV is a media player: it provides no channels, movies or series. You add your own playlist (M3U, Xtream Codes or Stalker portal) supplied by your server. Make sure your sources comply with the law in your country.
