Add a Stalker (Ministra) portal to DringTV

What you need

A Stalker portal (also called Ministra) identifies you differently from a regular playlist: your server gives you neither an M3U link nor Xtream credentials, but a portal address and a MAC address — the one registered on the portal. DringTV presents that MAC address to the portal, exactly as the box would.

So keep two things at hand: the portal address (a URL, often ending in /c/ or /stalker_portal/c/) and the MAC address, in 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX form. Some servers add a username and password: keep them handy, they are optional on most portals.

Add the portal

1. Open DringTV — no account is needed to get started.
2. Go to Settings → Playlists → Add a playlist, then pick Stalker.
3. Enter the portal address exactly as it was given to you (with the http:// or https:// and the port, if any).
4. Enter the MAC address registered on the portal, then the username and password if your server asks for them.
5. Confirm and let the sync finish: DringTV pulls in the channels, movies, series and the TV guide.

What DringTV does with the portal

A Stalker portal does not publish fixed stream URLs: every playback asks the portal for a temporary link. DringTV handles that the moment you press play, invisibly — on live TV as well as movies, series and catch-up.

The TV guide is fetched straight from the portal, and catch-up is offered on channels the portal reports an archive for: you rewind a programme from the guide just like on any other source.

If the portal refuses the connection

An error when adding the portal almost always comes down to one of three things: the MAC address is not the one registered on the portal, the access tied to that MAC has expired, or the portal address is incomplete — the trailing /c/ is often missing.

The same MAC can usually only be active on one device at a time: if your original box is still switched on against the same portal, turn it off and try again.
